As a seasoned food critic turned winemaker, I recently chose Candlewood Suites for a corporate retreat, and I must say, it fits the bill for business travelers. The rooms are clean and quiet, which makes for a conducive work environment. The hotel provides complimentary high-speed internet, which was reliable during our stay, and there’s a nice little computer station in the lobby for quick tasks. We also made great use of the well-equipped kitchen – it saved us some money and provided an opportunity to unwind over a homemade meal. One note: there’s no breakfast service, despite what you might expect from other hotels in the area. This didn't detract from the overall experience. We appreciated the BBQ gazebo out back, perfect for evening relaxation after a long day of meetings. The small meeting room is functional, offering 300 square feet for necessary discussions. Plus, it’s pet-friendly, accommodating my colleague's dog without a hitch. If you're heading to Tyler for business, consider Candlewood Suites. It’s straightforward, quiet, and ideal for remote work.
